Sporting Arkansas Members,

Hello from Executive Directors Jakob Nilsson and Bill Henry.  We have both been involved in our local soccer community since the late 1990s and we are very excited to be in our new roles with Sporting Arkansas.  We are confident that this club will become the premier developmental soccer club in NWA, allowing our kids to achieve their dreams in the greatest sport on the planet!

To make that happen our first priority is assessing the current state of teams, players, and coaches.  Second is formulating a structure that moving forward will maximize our potential and opportunities.  Third, we will be implementing a program approach to our coaching; teaching the right skills at the right ages and connecting the learned skills as the player progresses in the program.  This approach will be critical to development and success.  Finally, we want to define a clear path to higher level soccer – high school, college, professional, coaching and other avenues in the sport. 

We are honored to have you all as members, and our goal will be to improve your overall Sporting Arkansas club experience, and help your kids develop and achieve their goals!  We will be contacting your coaches to set up some “meet and greet” meetings with the parents, and to get to know the teams and kids more.  We certainly look forward to it!
