"John Marshall joins SASC as the new Director of Player Development"

Announcing John Marshall as our Director of Player Development 2017/2018 Sporting Arkansas Soccer Club is excited to announce that John Marshall has joined our staff as the club’s new Director of Player Development. John comes to us with a wealth of experience in coaching and playing soccer. John will be ensuring that each Sporting player receives an Independent Development Plan based upon their skill level and development goals, and he will be working closely with the Head of Coaching and coaching staff to ensure congruence of the Individual Development Plans during various training sessions.

This Nebraska all-state soccer player went on to play at Westmar University where he claimed various defensive player of the year awards as well all-American status. Marshall entered the USISL Premier League playing for the Sioux City Breeze, prior to graduation. John started his professional coaching career at Mount St. Claire College as an assistant coach. After 2 seasons, he joined the Arkansas Razorbacks Football program as an academic advisor to pursue his Master’s degree in Public Administration. While in Arkansas, John has won over half a dozen Arkansas State Championship titles and a High School State title with Springdale High School. He holds a USSF C License and is the current Head Coach of Bentonville West Boys Soccer Program.
