GIVING BACK

Sporting Arkansas Soccer Club is a 501(c)3 non-profit and has made a commitment to raise the standard of soccer in NW Arkansas. In keeping with that goal, we feel that all players with the appropriate skill and dedication to play should have the opportunity to play, regardless of financial means.  As a club, we do everything we can to assist families who may face financial obstacles that would otherwise prevent them from playing soccer with Sporting Arkansas by offering player scholarships to qualifying players.

Fundraising efforts are vital to the success of the scholarship program. Events like the annual Goal Giver Gala and fall and spring tournaments help provide financial support for these efforts.  We are incredibly thankful to the many donors who generously give to support the player scholarship program. For more information on how you can make a tax deductible donation to the Sporting Arkansas player scholarship fund, please contact treasurer@sportingarkansas.com. PLAYER SCHOLARSHIPS

Financial assistance, in the form of player scholarships, are available to assist those players who are not able to afford the total costs associated with playing soccer and funds available to help families who need financial assistance.

Scholarship applications are submitted via our PlayMetrics platform. Click here for step by step instructions:

https://help.playmetrics.com/hc/en-us/articles/360047759754-How-to-Request-Financial-Aid

You will need one of the following:

  1. W-2 or Tax Return from the previous year
  2. Free and Reduced Lunch application or other school assistance programs

Financial assistance will be considered on a first come, first served basis and once funds are gone for a particular season, no more financial assistance can be given. In order to spread the scholarship funds as far as possible, we ask each family seeking financial assistance to pay as much as they can afford.

Families receiving financial assistance should be willing to volunteer to assist either the club or their team by helping to maintain fields, assisting at tournaments, helping with registration, or participating in other volunteer opportunities.  Please let us know if there are circumstances that would prevent family members from helping in this way.

Financial assistance to a player/family may be terminated if the financial situation is resolved, funds become unavailable, or if the player is deemed in conflict with the Club/Team requirements for player commitment or behavior.
