Henri Erti serves as our MLS NEXT Director, bringing an exceptional combination of international playing experience, elite coaching education, and a proven record of developing players for the highest levels of the game.
Henri joins Sporting Arkansas after serving as Director of Coaching for River Valley Futbol Club, where he led club-wide player and coach development while establishing a high-performance environment centered on long-term growth. His coaching résumé also includes leadership roles within the FC Barcelona Academy Pro system in both Miami and Phoenix, where he implemented one of the world's most respected player development methodologies. During his time with One FC Miami, Henri guided the club's 2012 age group to a No. 1 national ranking, further demonstrating his ability to develop teams capable of competing at the highest levels of youth soccer.
Committed to continuous professional growth, Henri holds both a UEFA C License and U.S. Soccer D License and is currently completing his UEFA B License. He has also internationally renowned Barça Innovation Hub, reflecting his commitment to modern coaching principles, tactical innovationearned a Professional Coach Diploma and Tactical Analyst Certificate through the , and evidence-based player development.
Henri's perspective is shaped not only by his coaching career but also by his experience as an elite player. He represented Estonia at both the U19 and U21 National Team levels, competed professionally in the Finnish First Division, and captained the Brevard College NCAA Division II men's soccer program.
Having experienced multiple levels of the game firsthand, he understands the technical, tactical, physical, and mental demands required for players to reach collegiate, professional, and international competition.
As MLS NEXT Director, Henri will oversee Ozark United FC and Sporting Arkansas' highest-performance pathways, ensuring players are challenged in an environment that mirrors the standards of elite academies across the country. His vision centers on developing intelligent, adaptable players who possess the technical quality, tactical understanding, and competitive mindset necessary to thrive at the next level. Equally important is his commitment to creating a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement for both players and coaches.
