Sporting Arkansas Extends Partnership with US Youth Soccer National League Frontier Conference for 2023-2024 Season
Partnership to provide pathways to regional and national level competitions and showcases for talented youth players.
BENTONVILLE, Ark. (April 20, 2023) – Sporting Arkansas Soccer Club is thrilled to announce the continuation of its partnership with the US Youth Soccer (USYS) National League in the Frontier Conference for the 2023-2024 season. The continued collaboration reinforces Sporting Arkansas’ commitment to providing its athletes with the best opportunities for growth, development, and exposure to college and professional scouts.
The Frontier Conference is a proven regional platform that includes top teams from North Texas, South Texas, and Oklahoma, providing participating teams with pathways to Regional and National level competition including the Southern Regional Championships, Presidents Cup Series, and the USYS National Championships. This partnership also offers teams the opportunity to qualify for the National League Conference Playoffs, where top teams from all USYS National Leagues compete for a spot in the National League P.R.O. and a bid to the USYS National Championships. These events attract hundreds of college and professional scouts, providing a unique opportunity for players to gain exposure and connect with coaches and recruiters.
USYS National League Manager Matt Dellaria said: “The Frontier Conference looks forward to continuing to have Sporting Arkansas compete in the conference at the highest level on an annual basis. Sporting Arkansas’ participation in the Frontier Conference allowed them to compete at the highest level in US Youth Soccer (USYS) against some of the best teams from across the region."
Sporting Arkansas Director of Coaching Scott Marksberry said: "I am thrilled about this continued partnership with US Youth Soccer and the Frontier Conference. We broke new ground in Arkansas when we sent four teams to Frontier last fall, and we now have a much better understanding of the level of play coming out of the National League qualifiers from North Texas, South Texas, and Oklahoma. With this continued partnership, we will be able to send more teams from our club to Frontier, but we will also be able to create alternative pathways for teams from the club who are not yet looking for the challenge of National League play. It is really a win-win for our players and families, in terms of being able to create the appropriate pathway for each player and team."
With 54 member state associations, 10,000 clubs and leagues, and nearly 3 million registered players, US Youth Soccer is the largest youth sport organization in the country. Sporting Arkansas continues to work closely with US Youth Soccer and the Arkansas Soccer Association on the grassroots and future development of the sport in Arkansas.
